My Story

Eliza Rose is run by me, Simone, the one you will find behind the till most days at the shop in Wickham and packing up the online orders :) I am very talkative, have a background in science and love to chat about interiors!

This is a little more about my story and how I got here and I'll try not to bore you with too many details, The name comes from my daughter, Eliza Rose. Currently she is a very stubborn 4 year old but very cute whilst doing it! Her big brother Rhys takes an active role in painting some of the furniture and is particularly good at distressing it ;) Though I have promised him that my next business will be named after him!

The business started in August 2014, selling from Molly's Den in Winchester. In September 2016, I took a massive step and left my job as a Technical Specialist for a Science company, to try and make the business work as a full time job. In July 2017, I opened my first gift shop within Warwick Lane, Wickham, PO17 5JN.

I started painting furniture for myself a long time before that, doing it alongside my 'normal' job and am completely self taught.

Eliza Rose is located in Wickham, Hampshire I stock a wide range of nordic inspired home decor and gifts which not usually available on the high street; you will be able to fill your home with gorgeous things! Everything that is available in store is also on the website, so even if your not local you can still shop the store!

I upcycle furniture and some of our home accessories items using Autentico paint. This fantastic paint is perfect for giving old pieces a new lease of life. Whilst lightly (and sometimes strongly!) distressing them to give them a bit of character.

If you want to find out a bit more about me, check out my blog post - 20 things about me or follow me on Instagram at @eliza_rose_home where I try to post everyday :)

I hope you find what you are looking for, a little something for your home, perhaps a special gift or even a little treat for yourself then I hope you will enjoy browsing through the website or pop along and say hi at the shop in Wickham!
